Shari N. Warner, JD, LMFT

Founder and Chair

Shari is an accomplished professional with an extensive background as a practicing attorney. Currently, she serves as the Owner and Clinical Director of Serendipity Counseling and Consulting, LLC, a highly regarded group mental health practice located in Tamarac, Florida. In addition to her work at Serendipity, she is the Founder and Clinical Director of Serendipity Women’s Mental Wellness Center, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization that offers mental health services to women and girls in Florida who are uninsured and struggling to access affordable services.
Shari’s innovative approach to mental health care has resulted in the creation of CaribbeanTherapists.com, an online directory connecting Caribbean people with mental health providers from similar backgrounds. Her contributions to the mental health industry remain invaluable, and she continues to demonstrate unwavering dedication to helping individuals and communities access the support they need.

Steven A. Warner

Director

Steven is a highly experienced and respected radio personality, having spent over 20 years in the industry in South Florida. Known by his popular on-air name, “Sir Rockwell”, he is the host of the region’s most successful Caribbean-formatted online radio show. In addition to his radio work, Steve serves as CEO of RDB Entertainment Group, the parent company of the widely acclaimed online radio station, RockDaBox.net. Steve’s highly popular and syndicated “Wake Up & Live” show runs Monday through Friday from 7am to 11am. As an industry leader, he also served on the Advisory Board for the Broadcast Department at City College in Fort Lauderdale, where he frequently guest lectured on the subject of online broadcasting. Steve’s broad experience also encompasses hospitality and restaurant management, as well as corporate event planning, production and management.

Trisha M. Hines, MIT, MBA

Director

Trisha brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Board of Directors gained over the years in various industries and capacities. She has held positions in management within the legal industry, in supply chain management in the aircraft and IT industries and most recently as an educator at the secondary and tertiary levels. Trisha is an entrepreneur in the mental health field where her company Triant Account Management Solutions, LLC provides account management and insurance billing support to solo practitioners and small mental health group practices in Florida. She is currently the Chief Operations Officer at Serendipity Counseling and Consulting, LLC where she helps to guide the group practice by implementing and managing policies and procedures to maintain the health and growth of the practice.

Tennille R. Palmer

Director

Tennille comes to us from the Culinary Industry where she is formally trained as a Pastry Chef. Tennille currently works in management with a major restaurant supply distributor while maintaining her skills as a baker and cake maker for private clients. Tennille is mother of 2 and in her off time is a “Dance Mom” for her daughter who competes. We welcome Tennille to the Board and look forward to her contributions.

Our Clinical Team

Shari N. Warner, JD, LMFT

Clinical Director

Shari, the CEO, and Clinical Director of Serendipity Counseling and Consulting, LLC is a former litigation attorney who followed her passion for helping others and established her own mental health practice. Since June 2016, Shari’s practice has been dedicated to assisting women overcome issues of insecurity, low self-esteem, and lack of self-confidence. In May 2020m Shari founded Serendipity Women’s Mental Wellness Center, Inc. to cater to the rising demand for mental health services for women unable to afford such services. With the Center, Shari aspires to create a community of women and girls who are better able to manage their mental, emotional, and behavioral wellness.

Maureen Johnson, LMHC

Lead Therapist

Maureen is a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience in the field. She is highly educated, having earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology at Hunter College and her Master of Arts degree in psychology at Long Island University in New York. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in the Couple and Family Therapy program at Nova Southeastern University. Maureen is not only a licensed mental health counselor but also a certified parent educator and a certified trainer for trauma-informed care. Her experience spans several areas of mental health treatment, including dependency, community agency, and private practice. Throughout her career, she has worked in various capacities, including as an in-home therapist for children with mental health challenges and those diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder. Maureen’s rich experience also includes working on a crisis hotline.

Zakiya Becca, MS

Clinical Therapist

Zakiya is a professional who graduated from the Couples and Family Therapy Program at Nova Southeastern University. She also has a Bachelor’s degree from FIU, where she dually majored in Communications Arts and Women and Gender Studies. Having worked as a Community Engagement Manager for a non-profit organization focused on providing volunteer assistance to non-profits in the South Florida area, Zakiya has gained a wealth of experience. She is equipped with the appropriate skills and knowledge to provide exceptional service to her clients.
